I also confirm that I am living in a stable environment and that my personal, professional, or travel circumstances will not prevent me from attending the course, completing the required work, or participating fully.
For face-to-face courses, I understand that travelling to and from Britishey Training Centre is my responsibility. For online courses, I understand that having stable internet access, a suitable device, and a quiet learning environment is my responsibility.
I understand that the Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language for Young Learners is a teacher training course, not an English language course.
The course is specifically designed to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to teach English effectively to children and young learners.
I understand that I may be expected to develop my knowledge and skills in areas including:
Young learner development and learning characteristics
Teaching English to children and young learners
Lesson planning for young learner classes
Classroom management
Teaching vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and language skills to young learners
Using games, songs, stories, visuals, projects, and age-appropriate activities
Motivating and engaging young learners
Differentiation and mixed-ability teaching
Assessment of young learners
Language awareness
Safeguarding and professional responsibilities when working with children
Reflection on teaching and learning
I understand that the course may include input sessions, independent study, written assignments, lesson planning, observation, teaching practice, feedback, and reflection.
I understand that the course requires serious commitment.
I may need to complete assignments, prepare lessons and teaching materials, observe teaching, teach lessons, respond to tutor feedback, complete independent study, and reflect on my teaching outside the scheduled course hours.
I understand that teaching young learners may require additional preparation, including the development or adaptation of age-appropriate materials and activities.
I accept that failure to complete the required work may affect my ability to complete the course or receive certification.
I understand that regular attendance is essential. I am expected to attend all scheduled sessions, whether the course is delivered online or face-to-face.
I understand that absence, lateness, early departure, or failure to participate fully may affect my progress and may prevent me from meeting the requirements for course completion or certification.
I understand that the Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language for Young Learners is internationally accredited by the relevant accreditation bodies offered through Britishey Training Centre.
I understand that I will be required to complete:
Four assignments
Six hours of lesson observation
Six hours of teaching practice
I understand that observation and teaching practice will focus, wherever applicable, on the teaching of English to children and young learners.
I understand that successful completion of all required components is necessary in order to be eligible for the accredited certificate.
I understand that the accredited certificate is subject to a separate certification fee.
I understand that the certification fee must be paid in USD and must be submitted before the start of the course.
I understand that the certification fee is separate from the course training fees. The course training fees cover the delivery of the Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language for Young Learners training course only and do not include external certification fees unless Britishey Training Centre confirms otherwise in writing.
For the internationally accredited certificate accredited by the American Accreditation Association and Oxford TESOL Accreditation Centre, I understand that the certification fee is 200 USD.
Failure to submit the certification fee before the course start date may delay or prevent my registration for certification and may delay or prevent the issuance of the accredited certificate.
I understand that course training fees and certification fees must be paid according to the payment deadlines set by Britishey Training Centre.
I understand that once I am enrolled, fees are non-refundable, even if I withdraw from the course for personal, professional, health-related, financial, travel-related, or technical reasons.
I understand that failure to pay the required fees by the stated deadlines may result in loss of my place, delay in certification registration, or inability to receive the certificate.
I understand that all submitted work must be my own.
I must not copy from websites, books, articles, other candidates, previous candidates, AI tools, published lesson plans, teaching-resource websites, or any other source without proper acknowledgement.
I understand that plagiarism, copying, falsification of work, fabrication of teaching evidence, or any other form of academic dishonesty may result in withdrawal from the course and loss of eligibility for certification.
I understand that generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or similar tools, may only be used responsibly and transparently.
Acceptable AI use may include:
Generating initial ideas
Researching teaching concepts
Exploring possible lesson activities
Brainstorming age-appropriate activities for young learners
Creating reading lists or reference suggestions
Exploring possible adaptations of teaching materials
However, I understand that AI-generated work must not be submitted as my own work.
Any use of AI in assignments, lesson plans, teaching materials, reflections, observation records, or other assessed work must be clearly acknowledged where required.
I understand that AI-generated descriptions of lessons or teaching practice that did not actually take place are considered falsification of evidence.
Hidden, unreferenced, misleading, or dishonest use of AI will be treated as academic malpractice.
I understand that Britishey Training Centre has the right to reject work, request resubmission, investigate suspected malpractice, or withdraw a candidate from the course if academic dishonesty is suspected or confirmed.
I understand that written assignments must meet the required standard for certification.
Assignments may require me to demonstrate understanding of the principles and practices involved in teaching English to children and young learners.
I understand that I may be asked to revise or resubmit assignments if they do not initially meet the required standard.
I also understand that repeated failure to meet assignment requirements may affect my ability to complete the course or receive certification.
I understand that lesson observation and teaching practice are compulsory components of the course.
I understand that I must attend and successfully complete the required number of observation and teaching practice hours.
Teaching practice may require:
Lesson planning
Preparation of age-appropriate teaching materials
Classroom management
Lesson delivery
Reflection
Response to tutor feedback
Professional interaction with learners, colleagues, and tutors
I understand that teaching practice involving children or young learners must be conducted professionally and in accordance with all applicable safeguarding, supervision, and centre procedures.
I understand that working with children and young learners carries additional professional responsibilities.
I agree to follow all safeguarding procedures, child-protection requirements, professional boundaries, and instructions provided by Britishey Training Centre or any partner school, educational institution, or teaching-practice venue.
I understand that I must never engage in inappropriate, unsafe, discriminatory, abusive, threatening, or unprofessional behaviour towards a child or young learner.
I understand that I must not independently contact, photograph, record, add on social media, exchange personal contact details with, or communicate privately with young learners unless this is expressly authorised as part of an approved educational procedure.
I understand that any safeguarding concern must be reported immediately through the appropriate procedure.
Any serious breach of safeguarding requirements may result in immediate suspension or removal from the course and may be reported to the appropriate organisation or authority where necessary.
I understand that I may have access to information about children, young learners, classes, schools, or teaching-practice groups during the course.
I agree to treat such information as confidential.
I must not publish or share learners' names, photographs, videos, personal details, academic information, classroom recordings, or other identifiable information without appropriate authorisation.
I understand that materials created for assignments, portfolios, or reflections must protect the identity and privacy of young learners unless permission for identification has been explicitly provided through the appropriate procedures.
I understand that I will receive feedback from tutors and may also receive feedback from peers.
I agree to respond to feedback professionally, respectfully, and reflectively.
I understand that I am expected to maintain professional conduct throughout the course, including during:
Online sessions
Face-to-face sessions
Teaching practice
Lesson observations
Group work
Written communication
Feedback discussions
Interaction with children and young learners
Interaction with parents, school staff, or partner organisations where applicable
Disrespectful, aggressive, dishonest, discriminatory, unsafe, or unprofessional behaviour may result in removal from the course.
For online courses, I confirm that I have the digital skills required to attend live sessions, access course materials, submit assignments, communicate with tutors, and participate in online learning activities.
For face-to-face courses, I understand that some parts of the course may still require online access, digital submission, or use of a learning management system.
I understand that technical problems with my device, internet connection, email, or learning-platform access are my responsibility unless the issue is caused directly by Britishey Training Centre.
I understand that my progress will be monitored throughout the course.
This may include:
Attendance
Participation
Assignment quality
Teaching practice
Lesson planning
Teaching materials
Classroom management
Ability to teach young learners appropriately
Professionalism
Safeguarding awareness
Response to feedback
Reflective practice
I understand that completing or attending the course does not automatically guarantee certification.
I must successfully meet all course and assessment requirements in order to be eligible for the certificate.
I understand that certificates are issued only after all required course components, assignments, observation hours, teaching practice hours, payments, and administrative requirements have been completed.
I understand that certificate issuance may take time and may depend on the procedures and timelines of the relevant accrediting or certification bodies.
I understand that Britishey Training Centre is not responsible for delays caused by:
Incomplete candidate work
Late payments
Incorrect candidate details
External processing timelines
Delays by accrediting or certification bodies
Failure to meet certification requirements
I am responsible for my own health, safety, and well-being during the course.
For face-to-face courses, I agree to follow the health and safety rules of Britishey Training Centre and, where applicable, any partner school or teaching-practice venue.
For online courses, I am responsible for ensuring that my learning environment is safe and suitable.
When teaching or observing young learners, I agree to follow all relevant health, safety, safeguarding, supervision, and emergency procedures.
Britishey Training Centre will not be held liable for absences, delays, or interruptions caused by illness, infection, personal emergencies, travel issues, or technical problems.
A deferral may be considered only in exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness or a major personal emergency.
I understand that deferral approval is not automatic and is subject to Britishey Training Centre's discretion.
I also understand that additional fees may apply if a deferral is approved.
If I defer, I understand that I may be required to:
Join a later course
Follow a different timetable
Complete additional or replacement course requirements
Join a different teaching-practice group
Complete teaching practice or observation at different dates
These arrangements may depend on the availability of appropriate young learner classes, teaching-practice opportunities, tutors, venues, and course requirements.
I understand that teaching practice involving young learners depends on the availability of appropriate classes, learners, schools, teaching-practice groups, venues, and timetables.
I understand that Britishey Training Centre may organise teaching practice online, face-to-face, at the Centre, or through an approved partner institution depending on course arrangements.
I agree to follow the teaching-practice timetable and arrangements provided by Britishey Training Centre.
I understand that teaching-practice arrangements may be changed where necessary for academic, operational, safeguarding, learner-welfare, or scheduling reasons.

I understand that this is a professional teacher training course specifically concerned with teaching English to children and young learners.

I agree to comply with Britishey Training Centre's academic, safeguarding, professional, administrative, payment, assessment, and certification policies.
