Ricardo Fajardo is an experienced English language teacher, Cambridge trainer, and teacher educator with more than 24 years of experience in English language teaching and over 14 years in teacher training. He has worked extensively in Mexico and internationally, supporting teachers and teacher trainees across a wide range of professional qualifications, including TKT, CELTA, and DELTA.

Ricardo works as a Cambridge CELTA Tutor, CELTA Assessor, and DELTA Module One and Module Two Tutor. Since becoming a CELTA Main Tutor in 2011 and a CELTA Assessor in 2014, he has played a significant role in training, observing, assessing, and supporting teacher candidates at different stages of their professional development. He also works internationally as a freelance CELTA and DELTA tutor.

In addition to his work on Cambridge teaching qualifications, Ricardo has trained teachers on a variety of professional development programmes, including TKT, language awareness courses, one-to-one teaching, CELTA, and DELTA. His teacher training experience is supported by a strong background in classroom teaching, having worked as a teacher, teacher trainer, and academic assessor in higher education and language education contexts.

Since April 2014, Ricardo has also served as a Sinodal, taking part in committees responsible for interviewing and validating BA candidates. This role reflects his wider experience in academic assessment, candidate evaluation, and professional standards in education.

Ricardo holds a BA in TESOL, the Cambridge DELTA, a Certificate in Online Tutoring, and the Further Certificate for Teachers of Business English, which he passed with Merit. He also holds the Certificate of Proficiency in English, the Certificate in Advanced English, and a Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language.

With his extensive teaching background, international teacher training experience, and long-standing involvement in Cambridge English teaching qualifications, Ricardo brings a high level of professionalism, academic expertise, and practical insight to teacher education.
