CELTA Tutor
Anna Wardyla-Shall is an accomplished English language teacher, teacher trainer, mentor, and examiner with over 20 years of experience in English language teaching, assessment, and professional development. She has worked across a range of international contexts, delivering both face-to-face and online training and teaching to adults, young learners, teachers, and exam candidates.
Anna has extensive experience teaching English from A1 to C1 level, as well as IELTS preparation and conversation courses. Her work combines strong classroom management, creative lesson design, and a learner-centred approach, with a particular focus on helping learners build confidence, accuracy, and communicative competence.
As a teacher trainer and mentor, Anna has supported teachers on a wide range of professional development programmes, including CELTA, TYLEC, young learner training, examiner training, and national teacher development initiatives. Since 2015, she has worked as a CELTA Tutor and Mentor in both face-to-face and online contexts, supporting candidates through lesson planning, teaching practice, reflection, and professional development.
Anna also has substantial experience in assessment and examinations. She has worked as an IELTS Speaking Examiner and Examiner Trainer, as well as an examiner for a wide range of Cambridge English qualifications, from young learner exams to advanced-level examinations. Her examining work has included mentoring new examiners, supporting standardisation, and contributing to examiner development and monitoring across several countries.
In addition to her teaching and training roles, Anna has held senior academic and training management positions, where she led large-scale teacher training programmes, designed professional development frameworks, coordinated training delivery, and supported trainer mentorship. Her leadership experience reflects her commitment to academic quality, teacher growth, and internationally recognised standards in English language education.
Anna holds the Cambridge CELTA and DELTA, with a Young Learners focus, and is also a qualified CELTA Trainer and TYLEC Trainer. She holds a Master’s degree in Oriental Studies from Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland.
With her extensive background in teaching, teacher training, examiner development, curriculum design, and academic leadership, Anna brings a high level of expertise, professionalism, and practical insight to teacher education at Britishey Training Centre.
