In Loving Memory of Dad

In the bustling streets of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, my father Reda was a pillar of kindness and compassion. As a devoted pharmacist, he spent much of his career serving the community on Alutaybia street, not just dispensing medication, but also offering solace and support to those in need.

His pharmacy was more than just a place of business; it was a sanctuary where he touched the lives of countless individuals. His genuine concern for others earned him respect and admiration, and his generosity knew no bounds.

Beyond his professional life, my father's home in Mecca was a refuge for relatives and friends who came to perform Hajj. He opened his doors to them, insisting they stay with us instead of in hotels, embodying the spirit of hospitality and generosity that defined him.

A devout believer, my father's faith was the guiding force in his life. He performed Umrah weekly and Hajj annually, fulfilling his religious duties with unwavering devotion. I still remember the image of him praying on Mount Arafat, surrounded by the majestic beauty of the holy land.

But it was his love for his family that truly defined him. He cared for us with all his heart, always putting our happiness and well-being above everything else. When he returned to Egypt and fell ill, it was a devastating blow for us all. Despite his illness, he faced his final days with grace and courage, surrounded by the love of his family.

As I stood by his bedside, kissing his forehead and bidding him farewell, my heart was heavy with grief. But today, as I remember my father, I am filled with gratitude for the love and light he brought into our lives. May Allah bless his soul and grant him eternal peace in Paradise. Rest in peace, Dad. Your kindness and compassion will live on in our hearts forever.
