After such a positive experience during my CELTA, I was encouraged to return for DELTA Module 2 as soon as the course was announced. Transitioning from the foundations of CELTA to the academic rigour of DELTA was a daunting step, but the unwavering support of the tutors made all the difference. A couple of days ago .. I was in an interview for a phenomenally high‑salary ELT job in a Saudi Arabian school .. Two days before the interview .. there had been a screening test for candidates .. Although the test was extremely difficult, I managed to score 33 outta 40 .. If it hadn’t been for the DM1 preparation course with Dr. Shady at Britishey, I wouldn’t have been able to get that score ..

Every great journey begins with a spark — and mine began with a message sent in faith. Back in 2020, I first heard about Britishey Training Centre and their Ofqual‑regulated TEFL certificates. By 2024, while finishing my General Diploma in Education, I knew I needed to study there. Despite hearing a few baseless rumors, Britishey remained my ultimate goal. The only problem? My bank account didn’t quite match my ambition yet. Undeterred, in July 2023, I took a leap of faith and messaged them asking for a volunteering opportunity just to get my foot in the door. While that particular door didn’t open right away, my determination never wavered. Exactly one year later, in July 2024, the stars aligned. I officially enrolled in my first course, and my career completely transformed: The TEFL Breakthrough (Oct 2024): Led by the phenomenal Dr. Shady Abuyusuf, this course blew my mind and rewired how I teach. It was such a game‑changer that before the course even finished, I received an official job offer from the centre. IELTS & The Dream Team CELTA (Mid‑2025): I was encouraged to dive into IELTS teaching with Mr. Ismail Noaman, another absolute wizard of a tutor. Soon after, I hit the jackpot by taking my CELTA with both Dr. Shady and Mr. Ismail in one powerhouse course. From Teacher to Trainer (CTT & CertPT): The centre then pushed me to take the OET and the CTT (Certificate in Teacher Training), even trusting me to act as an assistant TEFL tutor. Finally, the CertPT (Training of Trainers) with Dr. Shady completed my transformation from a classroom teacher into a confident teacher trainer. Taking the Level 5 Certificate in TEFL at Britishey Training Centre was intense but absolutely worth it. The course structure, certified by London Teacher Training College, is demanding, but the support from the trainers made all the difference. Dr. Shady Abuyusuf and Mrs. Basma were fantastic. Their feedback was always clear, honest, and actionable. They pushed me to improve without ever being discouraging. Dr. Shady Abuyusuf, in particular, had a great way of breaking down complex teaching concepts and grammar frameworks, while Mrs. Basma kept us inspired and focused every step of the way. The practical methodology and the comprehensive modules—from lesson planning to teaching young learners and language skills—were practical, not just theoretical.
