Short description The Trinity ISE (Integrated Skills in English) is a four-skills English language exam that assesses reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Recognised by universities and governments worldwide, it is ideal for study, work, or visa purposes.
Outcomes
  • Trinity ISE certificates are respected by universities, governments, employers, and UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) for academic entry, work, and migration purposes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all four English language skills
  • Candidates show their ability to read academic texts, write essays and summaries, listen and respond accurately, and speak fluently and appropriately in real-life situations.
  • Each ISE level corresponds to a CEFR band (A2 to C2), allowing candidates to measure and present their language level with global consistency.
  • The ISE exam enhances the ability to combine skills (e.g., reading before writing or listening before responding), reflecting how English is used in academic, professional, and everyday contexts.
  • Success in Trinity ISE equips candidates with the confidence and credibility to thrive in English-speaking environments, both academically and socially.
Requirements
  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old for most visa and academic purposes.
  • Younger candidates may still take the exam, particularly for school or personal development.
  • A valid passport or national ID (with photo and date of birth) must be presented at the time of registration and on the exam day.
  • While there is no formal entry qualification, candidates should have an approximate CEFR level (A2 to C2) before registering.
  • A placement test or diagnostic interview may be recommended for course enrolment or level confirmation.
  • Candidates must choose to take: Only one module (Speaking & Listening or Reading & Writing), or both modules together as a Four Skills exam.
  • Registration must be completed in advance through an approved Trinity exam centre, such as Britishey Training Centre.
  • Full payment of exam fees is required before the exam date can be confirmed.
  • Candidates must arrive on time and follow Trinity’s exam rules regarding behaviour, mobile phones, and personal belongings.
  • In the Speaking & Listening module, candidates must prepare a personal topic in advance (Levels I–III only).
