A couple of days ago .. I was in an interview for a phenomenally high‑salary ELT job in a Saudi Arabian school .. Two days before the interview .. there had been a screening test for candidates .. Although the test was extremely difficult, I managed to score 33 outta 40 .. If it hadn’t been for the DM1 preparation course with Dr. Shady at Britishey, I wouldn’t have been able to get that score ..

I was ranked 2nd outta 50 well‑experienced, highly qualified candidates .. with only one mark separating me from the first place .. Yes, I didn’t get the job 'cos I ain't got an educational qualification .. however .. I realized the true extent of my abilities and skills .. extentless ..

Officially CELTA holders, can you believe that?!

What a ride, honestly. It was long and exhausting times

sleepless nights, lesson plans everywhere, constant stress… but somehow we survived every single hard moment and came out stronger on the other side.

And despite all the chaos? It’s been one of the best phases of my life. I met the most incredible people. My peers were absolute legends supportive, helpful, always there for each other. We laughed, we stressed, we panicked, we survived… all at the same time

Truly the best squad. I really hope this isn’t the last time we cross paths.

And let’s talk about our tutors Shady Abuyusufand Aya Eleemy hands down the best in Egypt. The patience? Unreal. The effort? Next level. They did everything to drill that knowledge into our brains and make sure we could actually apply it. It feels so weird knowing there are no more input sessions with them. That part still doesn’t sit right. If I keep going, this post will turn into a novel.

But yeah… I’m beyond grateful I took my CELTA at Britishey Training Center. What a journey. What a chapter.

Transitioning from the foundations of CELTA to the academic rigour of DELTA was a daunting step, but the unwavering support of the tutors made all the difference. Their expertise, detailed feedback, and personal encouragement pushed me to reach a level of practice I didn’t think possible.
